Archive for December, 2006
You’ve probably said it yourself, but if you haven’t, you’ve almost certainly heard someone else ask that ever famous question: Where has the year gone?
Here we are in December! Eleven full months down for 2006 and only days remaining to the month and the year.
Where have you gone over the past year? Did you achieve goals set for yourself? Do you have greater goals awaiting you in the coming year?
Today, I’d like to offer you the words of one of my favorite personal development authors, Og Mandino. As I look back on 2006 and forward to 2007, I find these words to be inspiring!
Live this day as if it will be your last.
Remember that you will only find ‘’tomorrow'’ on the calendars of fools.
Forget yesterday’s defeats and ignore the problems of tomorrow.
This is it. Doomsday. All you have. Make it the best day of your year.
The saddest words you can ever utter are, ‘’If I had my life to live over again.'’ Take the baton, now. Run with it! This is your day!
Beginning today, treat everyone you meet, friend or foe, loved one or stranger, as if they were going to be dead at midnight.
Extend to each person, no matter how trivial the contact, all the care and kindness and understanding and love that you can muster, and do it with no thought of any reward.
Your life will never be the same again.
If you, like I, enjoy the inspiring words of Og Mandino, allow me to suggest some of what I’ll bet you’ll agree are some of the finest books ever written! For more information, simply click here.
