Thoughts don’t just become things, THEY ARE THINGS! Are your’s working for you or against you?
In the following video clip, Mike Dooley, who many of us know from the movie The Secret, and author of the best selling book Infinate Possibilities: The Art of Living Your Dreams, articulately expresses the importance of our thoughts in influencing what we are becoming.
Before you watch this video clip, reconsider the question I posed to you a few sentences back: Are your thoughts working for you or against you?
If you’d like to learn more about how to put the power of positive affirmations to work for you, please consider exploring my affirmations audio CD. In Affirmations for Attraction, you can learn to combine the power of positive affirmations with the power of the Law of Attraction (LOA). Check it out here for more information.
And now, please enjoy Mike Dooley’s presentation.

It all started on Thursday, August 10, 2006 @ 8:06 am. It was then–one year ago–that I posted my first blog entry. In reality, it wasn’t even posted on this website, but on its predecessor, www.personaldevelopmentdepot.com. I’ve had a great time over the past year sharing my time with you, my visitors. I hope you too have enjoyed our visits.
I actually wrote my first entry the evening before I published it, shortly after having watched the movie The Secret (for perhaps the 5th or 6th time, LOL!). Since that time, I’ve released my Law of Attraction (LOA) audio program called Affirmations For Attraction and have thoroughly enjoyed the incredible amount of positive feedback I’ve received on it from colleagues and clients. If you’d like to learn more about my audio CD, please visit my Affirmations For Attraction page.
For old times sake, I thought that today, I would republish that first blog entry. Hope you enjoy it!

Personal development, personal growth, self development, self growth, self actualization—there are probably scores, if not hundreds of terms that are interchangeably used to basically describe one thing: human problem solving.
Now, many of us may not view our growth efforts as resulting from problems. We may even say things like “I don’t have problems, I have challenges to be overcome!” In fact, I use that statement all the time. “Challenges to be overcome” certainly sounds much more positive and empowering that “problems”, but in reality, I believe, what moves us toward growth, development, etc., is nothing more than identifying a problem or set of problems and attempting to embark upon changes to solve those problems.
In my own life—as a son, as a brother, as a man, as a husband, as a father, as a psychologist—I have faced many a challenge. I’d make it a safe bet that you have too. But perhaps the most important lesson I have learned along the way is that Personal Development begins with the identification of the problem. In other words, a problem not identified, is a problem not likely to be solved.
For some time, I have toyed with the idea of beginning to publish some of my writings online. Allow me to welcome you to my web log, or blog as it is known in the current vernacular. I am certain, that while this first entry may not be the greatest thing I’ve ever written, “getting my blog spot going” is now one goal I can check off as achieved! As success coach Mike Litman says, “You don’t have to get it right; you just have to get it going.”
